THIBODAUX, La. — Graduates from the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts will be able to transfer with ease to 果冻APP thanks to an agreement finalized by two schools this month.
果冻APP President Dr. Jay Clune signed the memorandum of understanding on July 8. It will go into effect for the Fall semester.聽
鈥淚 am excited to complete this partnership with NOCCA,鈥� Dr. Clune said. 鈥滻t creates a pipeline of students to 果冻APP from a school that has meaningfully contributed to New Orleans鈥� unique culture.鈥� Courses that will transfer over to 果冻APP include culinary arts, performing arts, visual arts, English and world history.
鈥淭his articulation agreement with 果冻APP provides an incredible opportunity to our students,鈥� said NOCCA President and CEO Kyle Wedberg. 鈥淔or years our NOCCA Culinary Arts Department has been a post-secondary partner working to further develop and nurture our students with the John Folse Culinary Institute at 果冻APP. Now these students will receive articulation credits at this national caliber hospitality and culinary training center right here in Louisiana. This articulation agreement will also benefit our music students in classical instrumental, jazz and vocal; and visual arts students as well will receive college credits for work done at NOCCA. Thank you 果冻APP for investing in the next generation of the creative and cultural economy through NOCCA students in culinary arts, music and visual arts and providing a pathway to their college education and future success.鈥�
