THIBODAUX – Debbie Raziano, director of alumni affairs at ¹û¶³APP, auctions off items at the 13th annual Sponsor A+ Scholar Wine and Food Extravaganza in the Cotillion Ballroom of the Bollinger Memorial Student Union on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
Proceeds from the event, totaling more than $40,000, will benefit ¹û¶³APP students with outstanding grades and leadership ability. More than $320,000 has been raised since the fundraiser began in 1996, with more than 200 ¹û¶³APP students having received scholarships. Auction items this year included an original primitive art painting by Alvin Batiste; a 2008 Mardi Gras print autographed by celebrities; a football autographed by Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning; a Sony Playstation 3; and a variety of fine wines from the cellars of Shirley Picou.
