NEW ORLEANS, La — 果冻APP Geomatics students, joined by Dr. Balaji Ramachandran, coordinator of Geomatics and聽Contractors Educational Trust Fund Endowed Professor of聽applied sciences,聽and Dr. Terry Dantin, professor emeritus, celebrated the New Orleans Tricentennial at an event hosted by the Surveyors Historical Society and District One of the Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors at Louis Armstrong Park.
Held on Friday, Sept. 14, the students reenacted important events in the city鈥檚 history, including the proclamation by LaSalle claiming Louisiana for France, an 18th-century ceremony known as 鈥渂eat of the bounds,鈥 and a demonstration of the ancient French surveying instrument le compass.
