THIBODAUX ā The ¹ū¶³APP Department of Music will present the āBrasileirissimo!ā concert tour on Tuesday, Sept. 4, on campus in the Mary M. Danos Theater (formerly Talbot Theater).
Featuring the , a husband-and-wife team including flutist Sergio Barrenechea and pianist Lucia Barrenechea, āBrasileirissimo!ā will highlight music from the duoās native Brazil.
Concertgoers will enjoy a live repertoire of the Duo Barrenecheaās triple CD album āThe Flute Music of Francisco Mignoneā ā as well as works by various Brazilian composers from the past two centuries.
Free and open to the public, the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. The visiting musicians will offer master classes the following day, at times and locations to be announced.
