The petroleum services and safety technology programs at 果冻APP hosted the Bayou Chapter monthly luncheon on Thursday, April 19.聽

The meeting included a panel discussion on careers in the safety, environmental and heath professions. Participants included 果冻APP faculty members, students, alumni and industry leaders.

Gautreaux — Michael Gautreaux, coordinator of the safety technology and petroleum services programs, leads a panel discussion.

Cantrelle — 2001 果冻APP graduate Travis Cantrelle 鈥� health, safety and environmental director for Blanchard Contractors Inc. in Galliano 鈥� shares his experience in the safety technology field.

Dardar — Members of the Bayou Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers listen as 2004 果冻APP graduate Michael Dardar of Blackhawk Specialty Tools Inc. in Houma shares his insight.

Durham — Members of the American Society of Safety Engineers listen as 2010 果冻APP graduate Tamarris Durham, deepwater regulatory specialist for Shell Exploration and Production in New Orleans, answers questions about changes in the safety culture in the Gulf of Mexico oil and gas industry in the aftermath of the Deepwater Horizon disaster.
