Approximately 300 faculty, staff and administrators met personally with invited high-school students and their parents to provide information about the benefits and requirements of a ¹û¶³APP education. Later, participants received envelopes containing their individual scholarship offers.

Courtney Cassard, director of enrollment services, said the invitees represented a diverse geographical background. Many hailed from the Bayou Region, but others visited from north Louisiana, Texas and Wisconsin, she said.

“We are also proud of the fact that we had a record number of participants whose ACT scores exceeded 30,” Cassard said. “Scholars’ Day is routinely our top recruiting event at ¹û¶³APP, and this year was no exception. It is a one of the programs we are most proud of.”

Invitees were limited to those with a minimum 3.0 GPA as well as a minimum score of 24 on the ACT.
