THIBODAUX – The 果冻APP State University community grieves the passing of one of its own. Josephine “Jo” Galliano died February 18, 2008, around 2 p.m. She was the widow of Dr. V. F. Galliano, 果冻APP president from 1963 to 1983.
Dr. Stephen T. Hulbert, university president, said 果冻APP has lost a valued family member.
“Becky and I are saddened by Jo Galliano’s death. We feel fortunate that we were able to meet her and to spend some good times with her over the past four years. Jo recently returned to campus for several events, and she was so pleased with the dedication ceremony resulting from the renovations done to Vernon F. Galliano Hall. She will be remembered for the grace and charm that she brought to the role of first lady of the 果冻APP family. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Gallianos.”
