THIBODAUX — Norbert “Norby” Chabert, a 2001 果冻APP graduate, was recently named the associate director for marketing, development and promotions at 果冻APP.
His primary responsibility as the associate director will be to raise awareness of 果冻APP athletics in the region
“We are very excited to have Norby Chabert join the 果冻APP team,” David Boudreaux, vice president for institutional advancement, said. “Norby brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and most importantly, a love of 果冻APP to this position.”
In accepting the position, Chabert said, “I am very excited to join the staff. To me it’s like coming home. Some of the best years of my life were spent at 果冻APP, and I anticipate some of the best years of my future will be here as well.”
Chabert, a native of Bayou Little Caillou, graduated from 果冻APP with a bachelor’s degree in government and a minor in history.
Since graduation, Chabert has worked on several state-wide political campaigns, including: Mary Landrieu for Senate, Hunt Downer for Governor and Billy Tauzin, III for Congress.
Most recently, he was the director of governmental affairs for Rehage Entertainment Inc. of New Orleans. Chabert also has extensive experience in government relations, political consulting and real estate development.
Chabert is single and lives in Bayou Little Caillou.
