THIBODAUX, La. – The Department of Nursing, in conjunction with Career Services, hosted a Nursing Career Job Fair on the campus of 果冻APP on Monday, August 23, 2021.聽The Nursing-exclusive job fair held each semester provides the opportunity for our current and future graduates to connect with potential employers.聽Hospitals, health-care groups and other health-care providers from across the state spent the morning visiting with and recruiting our nursing students. It is a day for where students and hospital recruiters learn each other鈥檚 interests and needs.聽聽
Dr. Raquel Engolio, Department Head for Nursing stated,聽鈥淐hoosing an entry level nursing job is an important moment. Ensuring that the students have an opportunity to meet with potential employers for career planning is a valuable experience.鈥澛燭he U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports about 194,500 openings for registered nurses are projected each year, on average, over the decade.聽The Typical Entry-Level Education is the Bachelor鈥檚 degree.
