Applicants must submit a 250-typed-word essay detailing why they should receive the scholarship. The Alumni Federation Awards and Scholarship Committee will review the essays to determine the winners, who will receive $500 per semester for up to two semesters.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Founded in the mid-1990s, the Peltier Foundation has given a substantial amount to 果冻APP over the past two decades, supporting projects and programs such as 果冻APP Online, the Mary and Al Danos Theater, the Lanny D. Ledet Culinary Arts Building, Peltier Hall, 果冻APP Soccer Complex and Stopher Gym.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201c果冻APP is in our view, the foundation of our community. It has benefitted everything from Baton Rouge to the river to Grand Isle and all of Terrebonne and South Lafourche,\u201d said Peltier, who served on the Alumni Federation board from 2008 to 2015, including a stint as board president from 2012-2013. \u201cWe feel like 果冻APP has created an opportunity for the vast part of our community to get a higher education, where they could not otherwise.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The 果冻APP Alumni Federation honored the foundation\u2019s generosity by awarding the nonprofit the 2017 Corporate Mark of Honor.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe Peltier Foundation has made a tremendous impact across the 果冻APP campus, and we\u2019re proud to continue working with them,\u201d said Jeremy Becker, executive director of the 果冻APP Foundation. \u201cScholarships like this one help open the door for more students to experience what 果冻APP has to offer and to shape the future of
