According to the proposed scenarios, 果冻APP could face a minimum budget cut of $4,773,579 and a maximum cut of $8,604,487.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Clearly, a budget cut of either magnitude would be incredibly damaging to our university, students, faculty, staff and the region we serve,&#8221; said Dr. Stephen T. Hulbert, university president.<\/p>\n<p>Between now and Monday, Jan. 26, the submission deadline, steps will be taken to complete the necessary planning effort to prepare both planning exercises.  In doing so, the 果冻APP administration will consider potential program reductions while protecting the university&#8217;s academic core. At the same time, the administration will consider every possible source of additional revenue before any reduction is actually implemented for FY 2009-2010.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These are very challenging economic times for Louisiana, and unfortunately the majority of budget cuts must be absorbed by higher education and health care,&#8221; Hulbert said. &#8220;果冻APP will work closely with its legislative delegation and the Division of Administration to do its part.
