Hulbert and Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Laynie Barrilleaux on Saturday, Oct. 23, to pay tribute to members of the 果冻APP community who provided services in the aftermath of the gulf oil spill. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2010\/10\/HalftimeAwards.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1779\" title=\"HalftimeAwards\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2010\/10\/HalftimeAwards-540x370.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"370\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>果冻APP faculty, staff and students \u2013 as well as members of the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program (BTNEP), based at 果冻APP \u2013 received name recognition during halftime of the 果冻APP vs. Central Arkansas football game. Post-disaster services performed by the honorees included research; transportation and cleanup of marine life; seafood safety monitoring; and expert recovery guidance. Many honorees remain engaged in long-term efforts to help restore Louisiana\u2019s wetlands.
