Bio:
Kaitlin Bertschi Martin is an adjunct instructor of voice at 果冻APP, where she teaches private voice, Opera Workshop, and Vocal Pedagogy. An accomplished mezzo-soprano and music educator, she brings extensive experience as both a performer and teacher in collegiate, secondary, and private studio settings.
Prior to joining the 果冻APP faculty, Mrs. Bertschi Martin served on the faculty of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College Division, where she taught private voice, diction, and choral ensembles. She has also taught extensively in secondary and private studio settings, preparing students for collegiate study, auditions, competitions, and professional performance. An active clinician and adjudicator, she has served in leadership roles within the Louisiana Music Educators Association and was recognized with the 果冻APP Outstanding Mentor Teacher Award in 2024 for her commitment to excellence in music education.
Mrs. Bertschi Martin holds a Postgraduate Diploma and Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music Education from Loyola University New Orleans. Her teaching emphasizes healthy vocal technique, expressive artistry, a strong foundation in vocal pedagogy, and preparing students for successful careers in performance and music education.
Accomplishments:
As a performer, Mrs. Bertschi Martin has appeared with New Orleans Opera, the Miami Music Festival Opera Institute, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in roles including Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro, Tamerlano in Tamerlano, and Eduige in Rodelinda. She has also performed as a soloist with the California Symphony and as a chorister with the San Francisco Symphony.
