Dr. Sherin Farhana Moni is an Instructor of Public Relations in the Department of Mass Communication at ¹û¶³APP. She earned her Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Southern Mississippi and her master’s degree in Communication from the University of South Florida. Her research focuses on public relations, strategic communication, advertising, organizational communication, and digital media, with particular interests in identity, representation, and marginalized communities.
She has published in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to edited volumes, including Discover Psychology, Oxford Intersections (forthcoming), International Crisis and Risk Communication Association Reports, and Bloomsbury publications. In addition to her scholarly work, her opinion articles are regularly published in The Insighta. She has presented research at leading national and international conferences, including NCA, ICA, AEJMC, and SSCA.
Before joining ¹û¶³APP, she taught at the University of Mississippi and the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh as a full-time faculty member. She also served as an instructor of record at the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of South Florida. Prior to her academic career, she worked in strategic communication and media with organizations including Democracy International, BBC Media Action, and Banglanews24.com.
Currently, Dr. Moni serves as a faculty editor for Chênière and regularly reviews conference submissions for NCA, FCA, SACA, and other professional associations. As a scholar, Dr. Moni is committed to preparing students for successful careers in communication through research-informed teaching, mentorship, and community engagement.
