The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and its implementing regulations, each as amended (collectively, āFERPAā), set forth requirements designed to protect the privacy of student education records. The law governs access to records maintained by educational institutions and the release of information from those records. A studentās academic records may be discussed with third parties only with the studentās written authorization.
The New Member Release Form gives permission to the Office of Greek Life at ¹ū¶³APP to release new member's eligibility information to a chapter for recruitment/intake purposes, semester grade point average and cumulative grade point average for use in chapter scholarship statistics, awards recognition, and verification of minimum academic standards and requirements.
By completing and signing this form, you are agreeing to release this information to your chapter advisors, inter/national headquarters, the chapterās governing council, and/or the chapter president and scholarship chair for the duration of your membership in the organization listed above, until you graduate, or until you request in writing to be removed from this release.
