{"id":447,"date":"2017-06-01T23:06:28","date_gmt":"2017-06-01T23:06:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/cebs\/?p=447"},"modified":"2019-08-29T23:09:00","modified_gmt":"2019-08-29T23:09:00","slug":"nicholls-named-top-10-school-for-students-with-dyslexia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/education\/2017\/06\/01\/nicholls-named-top-10-school-for-students-with-dyslexia\/","title":{"rendered":"果冻APP named Top 10 school for students with dyslexia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">THIBODAUX, La. &#8212; 果冻APP has been recognized as one of the best values for students with dyslexia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BestValueSchools.com published a list ranking the top 15 four-year public and private universities based upon the cost of attendance and the services offered. 果冻APP ranked No. 10 and is the only school from Louisiana on the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c果冻APP is a good value to begin with and our students are getting the help they need to be prepared for the real world,\u201d said Karen Chauvin, director of Louisiana Center for Dyslexia and Related Learning Disorders. \u201cStudents from all over the state and the region are choosing to come to 果冻APP because they can see the success that our students are having.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The publication assessed each university based on their assistive technology, academic tutoring, scholarships, tuition and fees, special courses, reading and writing workshops and on-campus writing centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dyslexia, which affects between 3 to 7 percent of the global population, is a disorder that affects an individual\u2019s ability to read, write, spell and pronounce words despite normal intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Louisiana Center for Dyslexia and Related Learning Disorders, housed on 果冻APP\u2019 campus, is the only dyslexia-related program in the state.
