She was born and raised in Patterson, Louisiana and attended Central Catholic High School, where one of her teachers inspired her to pursue an English degree. She is currently the President of the 果冻APP Creative Writing Club, a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Eta Sigma Honors Societies, and a Colonel Catholic. She has worked as a reporter for the campus magazine <em>果冻APP Worth<\/em> and holds a student worker position at the campus library. After graduating from 果冻APP, Mary wants to teach English either at the high school or college level. Her deepest desire is to serve and share Christ\u2019s love, and she feels called to do so through teaching as well as writing.
