Vision<\/h4>\n

To be recognized as an innovative leader in the educational preparation of entry-level and advanced practice nurses and allied health professionals.<\/p>\n

Mission<\/h4>\n

The mission of the College of Nursing and Allied Health at ¹û¶³APP is consistent with the mission statement and goals of the University. The mission of the College of Nursing and Allied Health is to prepare students to contribute to a global society and a diverse workforce as productive, responsible, and engaged citizens and as well-educated healthcare professionals to meet the healthcare needs of\u00a0the Bayou region\u00a0and beyond. The mission is accomplished by continuous improvement in teaching, research, and service in a student-centered, culturally rich and spirited learning environment that fosters faculty, staff, and student engagement.\u00a0The College extends its mission beyond instruction by offering continuing education activities for healthcare professionals. The College is dedicated to continuous quality improvement through systematic assessment and evaluation of program outcomes, processes, and current and former students.<\/p>\n

    3. Ensure quality, accountability, efficiency, and effectiveness in all nursing and allied health programs.<\/li>\n
    4. Increase recognition and visibility of the college for meeting regional workforce needs and for providing cultural enrichment and service to the community.<\/li>\n
    5. Enhance sense of College community, pride in the University and service to the community.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Approval and Accreditation<\/h4>\n

      Within the College of Nursing and Allied Health, the Department of Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program is approved by the Louisiana State Board of Nurses and is nationally accredited by the \u00a0Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Additionally, ¹û¶³APP College of Nursing and Allied Health is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.<\/p>\n

      The Department of Allied Health Sciences and its associated programs are nationally accredited and certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education and the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.<\/p>\n
